Alligator Park is a resident-owned community for adults 55 and over in a city chosen by Money magazine as a top place to live, and also considered to be one of the best cities in the USA to retire. Punta Gorda has a great year-round climate, relaxed lifestyle and an abundance of cultural and recreational activities, not to mention a variety of restaurants if you decide to dine out. It is well known for fishing, boating, and friendly folks everywhere you go.
Alligator Park has RV lots available to accommodate your stay, from a single night up to a maximum of 6 months. Our beautiful clubhouse boasts a state-of-the-art catering kitchen and a large dance floor considered to be one of the best in the area. During the winter season, dances (with live entertainment) are frequently scheduled and our social calendar is full of activities which will appeal to all. Year-round amenities include a heated swimming pool, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, billiards, exercise equipment, laundry room, and a lending library with free WiFi service. Paved roads facilitate walking and biking, and a private 35-acre lake is on the property for fishing, non-motorized boating, or just for relaxation.
Punta Gorda itself is a jewel of a city located along the southern shore of the Peace River. The city provides beautiful residential areas and a waterfront promenade for walking and enjoying the great weather. Top-quality restaurants and popular tourist activities, such as Fishermen’s Village, the Military Heritage Museum, and Muscle Car City, are less than 10 minutes by car from Alligator Park, and a number of fine golf and tennis facilities are nearby as well. For nature lovers, there are over 70 parks and recreational areas in the county and surrounding areas.
